The senior leaders are struggling just as much. The amount of movement and changes that are being done behind the scenes leaves everyone in fear that they are going to be eliminated. We have seen individuals with impeccable talents and performance be let go for what seems like useless reorganizational efforts. If the bank has been struggling this bad, then they should listen to their front line employees but no, send in a consulting firm to do your dirty work and blame it on them. USB has shifted their culture. Employees are no longer of value, even though “Putting People First” is one of their main Core Values.
The executive leadership is where the problem lies. They are not upfront with why things are done. The leaders they have brought in over the last 12 months seem to have zero knowledge or experience in the related fields they are leading.
It’s a travesty to see so many talented people discouraged by a company once so loved. The time to right the ship is now. But all we see are bandages over gaping holes.
