Mattel Executives don’t fool employees or the investment community to invest time or money. They are smart enough to take what they want, employees need to protect their careers from this behavior. It’s not what they say, it’s what they do! Movie increased royalties revenue stream , but the other traditional revenue streams are declining. Why would professional investment community want this . Bright shiny hype and entertainment don’t make up the loses to the core business. And they haven’t changed the core business. Investors are bored. Economic conditions are rolling and Mattel left motionless.
- Parking lot across from the former Admin building (aka "Flashcube") was sold about a year ago. Campus looking like a ghost town.
- The two FP carryover VP's, KH and TS, are still there. They should have been cut as well. Both are useless going to the dark side becoming politicians.
- If the sale goes to the Chinese, the campus will close. If it goes to US private equity, it may or may not survive.
- Motivation is at a lifetime low.
- Mattel needs the money, stock is tanking. Barbie movie didn't do what it was supposed to.

Garbage. This reorg is the most discombobulated, disorganized mess. I’ve never seen anything like it. These VPs should be ashamed of how this is playing out. We all know they’re not though. They’re patting themselves on the back for a job well done 🤭
There's no one to buy the FP campus. Moog can't use most of the buildings and only the warehouse would be of value to them for production. The glass cube had it's parking lot sold off so that can't be sold off separately.
No one can redevelop the site cause EA wouldn't allow it and who knows what is buried under foot from the plant.
We are stuck with the EA campus for the foreseeable future. Maybe put Mega in there and offload some functions from LA into EA. ES has run out of room and space is extremely expensive here.
