Is offshoring an issue?
It's my biggest complaint about the company!!
Considering joining? Well let’s just answer that one. Unless you are desperate, Pass on USB. If you are asking about offshoring and worried about that , well we are notorious about offshoring and trying to hold the line on costs. We are the Dollar General of banks. Andy boy has to get back to his precious 55% Operating efficiency.
Just survived another round of layoff
It seem in the spring and fall are the best seasons to layoff employees
They are outsourcing to the Philippines and India
Recent changes and chaos is beyond comprehension. Yes they offshore many jobs to India and Poland most recently. Every quarter there are layoffs for different groups. It’s no longer a good place to work imo.
Most of the roles in my business unit are being filled by contractors in India. I've worked at several banks and this one is a complete mess of dysfunctional processes layered on top of each other. Highly recommend that you keep looking elsewhere.
They offshore everything. Layoffs every month around the clock. The insurance is sh-t and morale is in the sh----r. Unless you want to come in to work 3 or more days a week, share germs/desks I would find something better.
If you have nothing lined up, come we get severance when let go. Just come do the bare minimum and keep looking.
Yes. Philippines, Poland, India... if you have other options, don't come here. If you ultimately decide to join this bank.. just keep in mind that the positive PR image that the bank has worked hard to cultivate doesn't hold up under scrutiny. This is an extremely dysfunctional and backwards bank.
