Intel history is a long line of stupid decisions. Remember the time we were working on Atom to compete in the mobile market then the program manager said... Hay, let's make a server version of the only chip we have been marketing as mobile Genius right?

Intel will be joining the Detroit car companies asking for endless tax payer bailouts.

Looks like ARM is making inroads in China: https://www.techradar.com/pro/chinese-server-cpu-beats-microsoft-google-and-aws-rivals-to-grab-performance-crown-alibabas-yitian-710-is-quickest-server-cpu-but-it-is-based-on-arm-rather-than-risc-and-x86-is-likely-to-be-the-overall-speed-champion

And notebooks: https://www.windowscentral.com/hardware/laptops/best-windows-laptops-with-arm-processor

Where will Intel be in 3 years.

Ampere computing founded by former Intel co-ceo Renee James has developed some really incredible ARM based server products that will leave Intel and AMD x86 based products in the dust. X86 variants are dinosaurs and intel has nothing to replace it. The rest of the industry is innovating while intel will release the 20th generation of x86 and try to convince everyone how great it is. Intel’s manufacturing problems are well known and the design limitations will soon be as big of a problem. Intel really has become a facade with nothing behind it. Revenue will continue to erode. It’s hard to visualize any kind of turnaround at this point.

"juggernaut like Intel."

lol. are you delusional or just really dense ? Perhaps open your eyes to reality and back away from the Kool aid. Nvidia rules while in house Arm solutions will eventually dominate at AWS, Azure, GCP, Tesla, and yes even Apple's growing capacity. AMD will be there to be pick up the remaining scraps while Pat can shake his tin cup.

felt by a juggernaut like Intel

A juggernaut? Hahahahhaha
Oh my.
Thanks for the laughs on Friday.

Wake us up when operating income stops being negative and Intel can stop saying “lower demand in a competitive environment”.

"How big is the Apple Xeon account? Who thinks this will even be felt by a juggernaut like Intel. Maybe a rounding error somewhere?"

How can I learn to overlook details and ignore shortcomings, similar to this person?

It’s just another CSP going with custom silicon solutions.

DCAI is such a sh!tshow.
AMD is approaching 50% share
Nvidia is dominating data center budgets at the expense of CPUs
CSPs are dumping both Intel and AMD for custom silicon.

What used to be a bright spot of growth for Intel is yet another declining cash flow that can no longer fund massive fab investments
