Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Premiums keep going up

To help pay for the executive leaderships incompetence. SF is loosing customers…according to my agent….even though agents make more more when premiums go up they are offset by the customers they loose. $28 billion the last 2 years in underwriting losses doesnt speak well of the leaders of this company.

@1kio....You realize insurance is, by it's very nature, a conservative business? And that since the Rust takeover from Mecherle--every leader has been hand chosen by his predecessor? Stop looking for "liberals" behind every corner and you might just see reality. That applies to everything.

Track key logs of your employees. You just might find they don’t work as much as you think they do when they work from home. Track key logs and mandatory cameras on will fix this.

State Farm was once a company run by a conservative leadership. Current leadership is liberal and does not care about its working class. They consider themself elite and come to the table with way too much baggage which is reflected in their corporate policy decisions. Consultants are no help.

I just had a claim, and the service was horrible, that's all I'm gonna say. Then got a letter that they 'may' drop me. I lived here 30 yrs, they paid 2 claims, storm related, in the total of 2300.00. I'm speechless.

Hiring strictly for Diversity and Inclusion has decimated Agency, the whole damn structure is incompetent now. Providing support for agents and staff is nuts ... heck most dont even know how to turn on the computer much less do actual work, hundreds of calls a day "necho is not working" and 9 times out of ten its simply operator error. Leadership here has finally caught up with the times, in the past we could overcome some of the "Diversity" hires with strong employees within the departments but now its just an ongoing joke.... sad really

Your agent is not giving you the whole story....probably doesn't know it. Yes, more customers are leaving after this latest round of increases. But we're still writing considerably more than we are losing, since everybody else is in a similar situation. But in an agency, you feel the losses when it's people you know. In several decades, I have never experienced a net loss of income from a rate increase, or a net gain of income from a rate decrease. Not to say it can't happen, but the net loss/gain has never quite offset the rate change. The frustration in agency is the extremely poor level of service.....most associates are trying to do their jobs but there are two few, and that means agents are trying to do more service than ever, with systems and procedures that don't allow for it.
