I am glad I moved businesses, I would not want to be in IA right now!
Let me tell you how it works at Aerospace Minneapolis. They create all these bogus jobs. Which are above pay grade 7. Then when there’s a layoff. Pay grade 7 cannot bump out anyone who is above them.
Thus, they protect their favorites. Get rid of a whole bunch of old people or sick people.
You know you have to apply for the job anymore. I heard with my own ears. You post for this job you automatically will get it. Who cares who applies for it you only get it.
So if there is a layoff coming at Aerospace Minnesota, they already were in the process of protecting their so-called favorites. By moving management rules, group leader,, BB, or resource worker.
Now they even created a bogus resource worker for facilities and tool room.
Aero Minneapolis !
@4kwo+1sopnzCL Ditto for Industrial Automation.
In building automation the final product marketing jobs in Europe are closed in favoriete for our global talent in Bangalore. No need to say that this change is already leading to no new npi’s for many years. We have lost marketshare big time. We just sell legacy offerings nowadays.
You won't get accurate information on this site anymore. Why? I got rid of all the old people.
All that is left is total Kool-Aid people. Eager to please honeywell. Believe everything Honeywell tells them. Why again! You should see how fast you can get promoted around this company. I've never seen anything like this.
People are leaving for a reason. You're moving up to company ladder so fast because the smart ones who don't drink Kool-Aid. Know what's happening and they're jumping ship.
Shoots and ladders. The game. They'll be sliding down the ladder. Not to start over. Right to the unemployment line. A smart ones will have new jobs. In a different company. The end.
The Next Layoff should be some Honeywell comedy short showing what both silent and massive layoffs look like in each region around the world.
And of course the music should be the Honeywell theme song that was created by some folks in AERO many many years ago. Think you can find it online
IntelliGRATEFUL is what I’d say for the lucky folks that keep their jobs.
The quality of information on here has declined significantly over the last 2 years, that coincides with the exodus of our brightest and best. We won't get good intel on here anymore for obvious reasons, just look at your colleagues today compared to a few years back. In my experience Q3 tends to be a popular timeline for layoffs but who knows hey. What I do know is that I have never seen this company in such a sorry state.
The next layoff will be in the executive suites for poor stock performance. No amount of blood letting in former SPS will blunt the financial results short of a fire sale.
I think the reality is that, there isnt anything likely for the next couple months. You have to separate some fearmongering trolling from actual sources. There was a thread about furlough emails being imminent, but that was 3 weeks ago and nothing yet. from Q1 Results, Industrial and building automation is struggling.
Honeywell is in the tank!!

I don't know that they'll do any big layoff's if they can avoid it. In Intelligrated there are a lot of people who see the writing on the wall and are leaving. And there are also smaller RIF's here and there. They may be waiting to see how it shakes out. I'm sure they love not having to pay any severance...
