Please sell it! Take us out of our misery.
Sold it to Ken Claffey for $1
Best part of Seagate buying DotHill was the stock jumping 100%. Thanks Seagate, I cashed out. After that, I got to see things go down hill and more and more of the large company politics. DEI and all. Glad I left this mess.
I assumed Systems would have been one of the first to go but it's just not attractive. We'll end of pennies on the dollar.
Not surprising if there is substance behind the rumor. Would be another asset sale after the buildings, LIDAR team, VLSI IP/team, etc. Making debt payments and supporting the dividend when revenue remains down more than 40% isn't easy.
The justification for Xyratex and Dot Hill purchases was always questionable. And the financial performance of the systems business has never been great. But maybe SuperMicro or some other larger systems developer would be interested.
But the cupboard is getting bare....not many other saleable assets left. Seagate needs revenue back above $2B/qtr ASAP.
Sold to NTUC (Singapore FANNG company)
