They aren’t implying anything worth listening to. There are a handful of trolls on here that post useless and unfounded information hoping to scare folks. Just ignore them and focus on the posts that contain actual information with verifiable details.

Anyone who has been at Oracle for any reasonable length of time knows that O does its big layoff the 1st week of June and NOT during the last month of Q4! But buckle up buttercups, 6/1 is almost here.

So... Nothing happened so far. Are you implying mass lay off is dodged for now?

Sorry to disturb you. Go back to sleep, with a note not to wake you until June 1st.

Crazy how I work in sales/se and nothing has happened.. even crazier that after checking with colleagues in other GIUs and core Oracle who work in sales/se nobody has heard of what you’re saying..

Listen pal, the reorg is real! Your head may be in the sand, but everyone in sales and sales engineering particularly specialists is impacted! That doesn’t mean layoffs, but it is a new go to market strategy.

Oh the classic “it’s still just around the corner” line.

Those of us that actually work here find this kind of stuff annoying. Stop posting unfounded and made up stuff just to troll those of us that actually care. Wasting your time to troll people who are just looking out for their well being is pathetic.

No re-org in the GIUs. Seems like another false prediction, getting pretty common on here these days.

If you say that the reorg didn’t get announced, if not fully implemented, then YOU don’t work here!

I’m unclear why we have high maintenance, highly paid sales staff still. So eighty’s! The software sales itself!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but that's what "class-of" employees are for.

I'm unclear why SEs (at least in the tech org) still have any role at Oracle. I mean my grandma can provision infrastructure services with just a couple of clicks. That's how easy this all is. Who needs high salary tech-sales weenies anymore? C'mon

When you are new to the management of an organization, and you are focused only on yourself, it is hard to appreciate the contribution of others.

Oracle is replacing SEs

SEs? I thought all "SEs" were converted to "cloud architects". So many "architects" running around in Oracle sales... I recall the so-called "enterprise architects" who always wore black suits to their team meatings. What a joke.

Anyways, no great loss regardless. The a$$wipe sales "engineers" or "architects" or whatever you call them aren't a value-add regardless.

We had our call yesterday. Sounds like it will first impact sales reps, but it will eventually hit us (SE’s) in June.

After every re-org, there will be few months of assessment by new management followed by layoffs of people who does not fit the bill or fit with boss.

If you are in good terms now, may not be after re-org. People behavior change very quickly to align with new leadership.

Be vigilant, careful, don't do anything to pi-s off anyone especially management.

Take out some time daily to study, keep applying for jobs and be ready for the worst.

I heard that they might be merging license and cloud reps into one rep.

Also the ATT SCD will take on a VP role with a team under the SVP LS because they both worked at Verizon together. One a project coordinator and other one was a low level manager. Crazy how these people got into their roles without leadership experience or closing big transformational deals.
