I just moved to a new department and I absolutely love it! The leader is driving positive change and has the best attitude! Centene gets a bad wrap because of some toxic management (that needs to go). But there are some really great leaders who are making the difference.

I really do feel for all the people who aren’t having a great experience, my unsolicited advice- move on.
But, YES I am genuinely happy and have finally landed in my favorite job (over 30 years of corporate work). My leader is everything I have always needed, to thrive. I’m NOT in HR or executive management, sorry to burst your arteries! I’m just a nobody who really happens to be extremely appreciative for my leader and job! Wish everyone could work for my leader- then they might be happier!
LMAO this is hilarious. Just saying that you are the ONE and ONLY person that is in a department where people got a raise outside of the "merit" and promotions that are linked to brown nosing a$$kissers that fa-t glitter - OR you are just like everyone else said and are a HR Troll trying to deflect from the "hostile, demeaning, NOT inclusive, don't give a ratts buttocks about your mental health, don't respect you as a fellow human being or value your worth as an employee because our plan is to sell & ship your jobs overseas post haste and we won't even mention how we really care less about the members we are supposed to serve" company this really is.
@My group transferred under a new leader a few months ago and it has been mostly positive. Less meetings and caring management. Promotions and good pay raises for those putting in the extra effort.
If you’re happy and feeling positive… can I ask why you came to this space so curious. I never did until I was worried. Smells like an inside clean mission if the board. And it’s an ingenuous effort. However it also incredibly transparent. And if you’re not on the agenda to clean up these messages and you’re truly that happy. You don’t have enough to do. I only squeeze my checks in here between always being behind. Hence working on a Saturday morning at 5am. #OneCenTeam
Kudos to the person counting the days. It's likely going to take around three months, a reduction in force, and some understaffing, with individuals taking on more than they can handle—it's on the horizon. Enjoying the countdown, though, because let's be honest: it's an HR troll. No genuinely content employee at this company posts on this thread.

PREACH 🙌🏽
18 days ago, you must be miserable by now…
You can’t possibly be this naive to be positive about this…
@somethingpositive Haven’t you heard the saying? If you don’t like something at Centene, just wait a bit—it’ll change. The reverse is also true: don’t get too attached, as there is constant unpredictability in this environment.
“Tut tut! How dare you speak positively about any leader here! Downvotes to all! Bring me my whip!
Don’t you know we are all average and basic curmudgeons here? We mustn’t glorify the aristocracy!”
Your vocabulary is hawt!
4 days ago, surely you feel differently by now…

A lot of the issues are Legacy Centene side of management not the WC side.

"gets a bad wrap?"
No sweetie, a bad REP is EARNED. Incentive cuts, poor performance with CMS, sneaky mass layoffs...no one made that up.
Nice try though!
Curious to know if the manager is legacy WellCare, Centene, or from an outside organization and how long they have been there?
It won’t last…

Everything was great for me last year too, Transferred to a really good department with an awesome manager. Then 1 year later, both manager and VP were both fired, got transferred to another department with a sh-t manager. Now i have more work and being micromanaged.
Won’t last long, just saying.
Someone had a cup of the Kool-Aid
Unfortunately the happiness only lasts for few years if you are lucky. They will fire their top performing employees for any reason.
It’s nice to hear something positive. Centene is such a massive company so I’m glad there are happy areas to work in
