Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Belk operating with less hours/payroll than after the pandemic

Belk is now using cost cutting measures even more drastic than after the pandemic. Hours are cut to the absolute bare minimum, managers and associates are doing 4 jobs at once, corporate belk is not only disconnected from stores, they don’t want to offer any solutions on balancing the tremendous workload. Associates and managers are quitting company wide daily and not being replaced, everyone else is absorbing their work. If this is not the very end, it’s very close to it.

I just wonder if the golden stores hours have been cut?

Yes. All stores have cut hours. However, it's not just Belk, but other stores such as Kolhs, TjMax, Targets, and others. I can only think it's the economy, and the hard time brick and mortar stores are going through.
