Considering offer… any issues with using my own laptop if I think that the default one su-ks? What about Internet and cell cell phone for remote work?

I knew a guy that had a BYOD mobile device. When he was let go as part of ACT, his device was remotely wiped and turned into a brick shortly after being perp-walked to the door.
Food for thought.
No bring your own allowed for PC, but you can use your own mobile device for most work activities. I use my iPhone a lot.
You are considering an offer so you ask on a layoff board about using your own laptop? HR scored with you.
I love clunky heavy laptops that burn my lap and last 2 hours.
Bonus points for the slow performance due to cr-ppy Intel processors and a metric sh!t ton of corporate cr-p apps aka malware.
I also love getting interrupted by nagware apps.
Isn’t Intel a dream to work for?
Below average pay and declining prospects with a slow promotion path.
People that work here are trash.
Ps - I don’t work there anymore
Why ask a layoff board?
Don’t use Intel laptop. It isn’t stable and have all kind of weird problems
When will Intel learn that the Apple M series is way better than the trash in their Lenovo/dell/HP "enterprise" laptops...
No, you are stuck with their lame mid range Lenovo/dell/HP "enterprise" laptops. The only time people would be approved for MacBooks was when you were a direct sales/marketing person and your account was Apple. But that business went kaput when Apple/TSMC made their own ARM cpus 4 years ago.
@sqm, what kind of severance did you get?
