This could have been more professional had OT decided to be transparent about it all. Not less painful for anyone that gets let go and everyone that cares about them, but at least they should have been upfront about it with all employees. And they should have shown remorse that it had to happen.
I don't know how they think employees can possibly trust them anymore.
Are cloud engineering affected
Going to be spread over Mon-Wed to accommodate holidays. Arseholes didn’t want to impact f24 but didn’t want anyone going join kickoff. Even those off will be called. Heavy hit are marketing and onshore it and engineering. Positive spin explains need for margin growth. Only growth I see is CEO waist size

Started seeing some people from various departments gone suddenly with no announcements. Seem to be the usual sneaky layoff and not a big layoff.
Looks like it has started silently with higher management roles now. Can anyone confirm on that with counts? Several positions were closed.
I wonder why would anyone normal stay there.
Any information on the specific product lines that will be affected?
I think the company has lost respect for Mark B by most people that work here. He is an incredible micro manager. The share price would also be a big issue for his credibility. There are so many VPs of this and that. The marketing team has no vision due to product managers being changed or removed. Hopefully the company recognises what works what’s not. But chopping a lot of heads will not fix long term just make it very worse.

This would be a really bad decision, it is impossible to catch up with competitors in the DevOps area, for testing they are losing all tenders
OT cannot keep up with the innovation pace required...
I don't think DevOps is going to be shelved at this time. Seems like the opposite whereby OT is investing in DevOps now for furture growth potential.

A number of products will be shelved but wont be communicated externally (internally will be ‘End of Marketing’). Layoffs delayed until July as they want to bleed everyone dry first in hope of a good Q4. Some panic as realized AMC was big profit center. Layoffs will be in areas other than sales and most engineering so 8pc company layoff will be 15pc for other departments. Puzzling money still spend on new branding, paid placements in nyt, promotions for leaders, 4 presidents. Morale so low. Rumors persist Mark will be moved out soon but hard to believe and damage done anyway
Anyone know when? May or June?
Will they cut business lines? I don't see how they can maintain all products w/o talented people.
It's prepared. Already confirmed to lay off 5-8% again as previous year across ex MF.
