Whether it's a fact or just a rumor, what good is there in knowing about imminent layoffs? You can't change whether you get it or not, and quite frankly, knowing about a layoff thats happening tomorrow or a week from tomorrow won't help you one bit. All it does is fuel anxiety, and if you happen to be anxious, that's a sign you should be better prepared. With Fords current leadership and management, you should always be prepared to lose your job.

ya i have a year saved up was planning to quit already lol but yeah high skill team I think were all at this level ic, wouldnt make sense for it to be a mistake it was my first position on coming in
LL6 with no reports makes about the least amount of sense ever...
You need to have money in the bank. 6 month of expenses. If you get fired from Ford know this...they let people that perform higher then you go for a lot less. You may think you got fired for some performance reason...and that may be so. But if you are doing your job and at least trying to make an effort, you might go anyway. 80% of this is out of your hands possibly more. Prepare and then settle down.
To the LL6 with no reports. That's not a good place to be.

On the 22nd I could not move a single file. Copy and Paste functions were about it. I was able to screen shot a few things but it was a pain in the ar-e.
Covid events made us clean out desks and file cabinets. I threw so much junk away that is the old days we would have sent to storage. I recall all the emails we used to get from the legal teams about document retention. Sudden acceleration, vehicle jumping out of park, DPS6 trans issues... all my stuff went in the dumpster.
Ford has no respect for any historical knowledge...They will just reinvent the wheel at considerably higher cost. We lost so much experience when on that day.

Don't worry, there are plenty of jobs posted on the Internet. If it is on the Internet, it must be true.
Having a heads up is always best.
Be careful on what you send, transfer or print anything from your laptop .. it is tracked and anything that might be sensitive will get you into a lot of hot water. Caution here.
And never use your company laptop or phone for personal use
There are some things you should prepare for.
Get all your personal stuff out of the office, if you have one.
Download a copy of all your performance reviews and things like that.
Get copies of any personal files on your computer.
Any emails of a personal nature or that you want to have copies of, send to your personal account.
You have to do this the day before they lock your computer and email.
Nobody is in anxiety.
