Prior auto VP running $ 11 b business annually. Career peaked for him at unit manager. Could not run 10 employee auto team with any success. His lack of leadership contributed largely to the > 100 combined ratio. Good riddance. Zero value added.

Brandt, Edmonds, Adkisson among the leaders no longer on the Allstate journey. It was a drag on earnings for many years, mostly attributed to marketing costs spread across a low premium base. It grew at much lower rate than Direct segment category in the Industry from time of acquisition. Not a well spent $1 billion.
Essurance is still around and handling claims.
Esurance was always meant to be sunset when Allstate bought it and that is one of the true things this miserable company has actually been pretty transparent on. They bought it for the online interface and online proprietary rights. And they absorbed a small fraction of market share with the Esurance policies as well.
It will always have a place in our hearts!
No longer exists. I would be interested in view from many of quality of their leadership across organization. I never saw much talent. Lot of smoke and mirrors with no depth or substance.
