The Corporate Marketing team is next up. Layoffs began this week. I was impacted, along with at least 2 others that I’m currently aware of. GOOD RIDDANCE!

Do the states really feel supported by this new marketing organization or the leadership just keeps tooting their own ho-n?
They fired everybody who was competent. If you take a look at the CEO, Her background selling Data Solutions in a venture capital style and persuading old semi-retired Neidorf to transform Centene into a tech firm, what a joke. She has no prior experience working with health plans or making any significant contributions in the payer space. The new COO comes from Humana, which primarily deals with Medicare, while Centene focuses mainly on Medicaid. The surviving folks are some cronies of the CFO, who are there milking the cow dry.
It’s surprising that team is still around, I expected it being eliminated when they pushed the CMO out. There is widespread incompetence at all levels, including executive, and hardly anyone has legitimate experience in the Medicaid or healthcare space. My guess is that they want to eliminate all our state level marketing teams. I’ve been looking for outside opportunities just in case that happens.
Not that it was a marketing idea but keeping all these different brands and logos is ridiculous. The overhead that comes from that alone is crazy. But, easier to sell.
There is another post about HR in Centene. The company is culturally broken.
That dude in charge of Quality is a a$$hat. Experienced it personally. Reported it to HR. You shouldn’t be allowed to do that to people.
They made quality sh-t in Centene. Last year there was a quality officer, a plan , an strategy to improve stars. Now is horrible what is going there. Supposedly they have a bully there that is ex Wellcare that everyone hates and everything is going backwards, nobody is engaged. Things are really bad there now . You can't say a thing though, because those Wellcare people close to the CFO.
The team that needs to go is the Provider Team (which does absolutely nothing) and the Quality Team (also useless). These groups compete with Marketing and Market Place teams only to remain relevant. There are too many groups and they cannot make decisions. Centene is only repeating past, and outdated, practices of building out a roadmap. Centene will not be relevant in a few years ...after they are bought out and my stock soars!
Leaders have been sent an email with names and positions, it should be distributed to teammates today. Currently appears to only be DTC LOBs affected.
Oh no! Whose business area?
