Nah. Just have to survive until this place gets sold. There'll be an upper and middle management purge the likes of which have never been seen here. This company needs an en--a, and a merger is the ticket.

Get out and find a new job. It is obvious Windstream doesn’t give a cr-p about their employees. If you stay, you have created your own demise. Surely, you have seen the writing in the wall.

Retail stores were closed to the public. They are now called connection centers with the same Reps in them when they were Retail stores. My point is why we're posts about them removed?

Did anyone else notice that the posts about Retail have disappeared? What's up with that?

A lot of that fiber in the Midwest is legacy patec garbage, and it is just that. They also sold a lot of so-called rings…they failed to mention that their four fiber rings were all in the same cable!!

@occ+1sdCxVBb - you seem be knowledgeable. Why is Windstream fiber in such bad shape and is Uniti's better or worse?

Cmon people, the handwriting is on the wall. If you’re not an essential type of employee your number will be called. Start preparing now for an exit plan.

I have never been a pick me person ! I got let go today with many of my colleagues as well! I was in IT and just sad that I’m leaving behind some very dear friends I made along the way. I think Mr Micro Mgr Tim B / SR VP had everything to do with who was let go in IT!!! He’s so disliked and very unprofessional in his approach with people . I hope his a** is next. Oh forgot he’s Farkouhs a** kissing buddy.

Yep, my husband had been with them for 16 years. Got a call this morning that he was being laid off with no severance package.

OSP fibers can be deemed out of spec, and therefore unacceptable, due to things like reflection and excess splice loss. Sales often sells things with contracted specs for fiber, and then the field has to test analyze, locate, repair and pre-test the affected fibers.

What is wrong with the OSP fibers?

Based on lack of information, I'm assuming the original post was BS.

if you have a "pick me" attitude, then please quit and save somebody else who may not want to be laid off right now.

Pick Me - I am tired of fixing provisioning errors and telling OSP that their fiber work is below par and not acceptable per standards (until overruled by management)

In other news, Fallout 4 is getting a 14.2 gig update, I plan on spending the rest of the day, playing the next gen update. While I see if my number gets called.

Goodluck everyone.
