To the person asking about timing there were a few that I know received a 4 week notice. Others were immediate. And no transition of work, no ability to provide notice to staff or colleagues properly especially after a tenured career is sad.

Heard the next round 0f JE in PS&O is coming on October. If you were missed on the April list it’s coming!

I believe they’re avoiding the WARN sites by laying people across regions and keeping each location under a certain amount.

Why Cigna is not in the list of companies doing layoffs despite of so many rounds?

I’m under the PS&O and the writing has been on the wall for months. It’s incredibly sad and I highly doubt they are done there. I don’t know which teams were impacted today but my heart goes out to everyone. I’ve been concerned since November. I’ve been applying internal and external for months trying to secure something different. Nowhere is safe but trying to do my best to keep that can kicked down the road and retain my work from home before they find a seat for me

Were the folks laid off only people who reported up to Gina? What about Jeff’s people?

What’s the cause of job elimination? What was the nature of your day to day work ?

There’s a deep ugliness in what’s happening inside a once great company. The culture I valued is completely shattered. Shameful.

It’s awful the loss of year’s of experience from our colleagues. Provider services was hit and now more and more work will be put on to the contracting teams. Providers aren’t going to stop having claims processing problems or stop asking for rate increases. We can’t do it all and do it well.

Those that were let go in our department were let go immediately. Not sure about severance.

For those of you who have been cut, I’m truly sorry. These things have a way of working out, however.

Are they eliminating your job immediately, or are they giving you a 4 week notification-to-termination period?

My role was eliminated as well. Several people lost their jobs today. Provider solutions and operations. I’ve been here a long time. I’m devastated. What is so sad is they don’t care about us as people. My family will have to find another apartment because we won’t be able to afford this. We have a young child at home too. This is horrible. There was zero indication that our role was in danger !

My role was eliminated today. I think I was the only one on my team who was impacted though, so that's good for my colleagues.
