Read up on Uniti. Leasing is one division with Windstream and the Lumen assets acquired under US DOJ requirement. Then you have their fiber division with the Southern Light, PEG Bandwidth, Hunt networks that have no connection to Windstream. And Uniti has an Enterprise division selling lit services.

And Windstream owns network that is not tied to Uniti, such as Nebraska, Montreal to New York route, and Raleigh to Jacksonville route.

I think an acquisition beyond the Win/Uniti rumors would still be some time down the road. It will still be in a messy spot until all the systems/records are in their future state.

Zayo will make another run at a combined Windstream/Uniti company in due time. They may not even wait for the dust to settle.

This is phase 1 and was very predictable and needed in order to make phase 2 happen. The combination of companies will be a much more attractive take over target. This time next year windstream layoff site will merely be a memory. Management, this is your sign on updating your resumes.

I always thought the two had to come back together before Windstream was an attractive takeover target again. This is just step one in that process. PS would not make this first step if step two were not already on the table.

I guess the real question is what happens once we're back together.

The hedge fund that owns us also owns a big chunk in Frontier.

There was the rumored Zayo sale that TT couldn't close.

Any others?

Maybe they’ll bring Lil T back to run BSinetic. Uniti Shareholders will start class action unless there’s another deal in place to sell the original Windstream to a legitimate company.

Sounds like like more fugazi. Some people at the top got rich while the average employee lost their savings/ retirement or their jobs. Go ahead and combine them into a giant out sourcing machine .

Well, the initial rumor was posted here months ago.

Sunu said we don't comment on rumors, perhaps telling us without telling us.

But a unified Windstream/Uniti combination would then be a powerful thing to leverage in a sale/merger.
