Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC Spain workers strike

I guess because this is an English language site we don't often hear about other stuff but...

Our Spanish colleagues say inflation has eroded pay and DXC provide nothing.... so strike!

We have now service line and offerings which are horizontal and industries vertical and also regions for marketing thrust on the third dimension. The intersection of all the three dimensions is the magic of recovery and growth.

Did you guys understand this? We have also successfully fired some of the useless VP's in apps and cloud (... And brought our own cronies again).

The board get their pay rises and stock options for failed strategies and effed up delivery models.

But the poor basteds at the coal face who work damn hard executing those fruitless endeavours get nothing.

And it’s a cycle of rinse and repeat.

The corrupt leadership NEVER take accountability or responsibility. It’s always the slaves not working harder.

The only company in the UK that hasn’t done pay reviews across the board for circa 10 years.

Unbelievable that they’re still in business.

forget what they charge the clients just look at how much money the board and the executives are getting. if the board really cared about their employees, they would stop their stock options and their pay raises and take a cut and pay to help the employees satisfied employees do do fantastic work

Every CEO and exec in DXC is paid above market salary, even if the company is in decline.

What does that tell you?

Lawrie bought all his mates across!
Slaveino bought all his mates across!

There’s a word for running a business like that.

I’ve written on his forum before.

Dxc make 700-1200 for typical positions on a project!

Just let that sink in. I’ve been on projects with experts who are grads!

Who actually makes 700-1200 a day here?

Most of these projects are long term. I’ve been flat out 2 years in project work.

Even BAU work is priced 600-800 a day. Again who is on 600-800 a day in DXC?

They’ve ALWAYS made tonnes of money. The money just isn’t for you.

"DXC now charges the client accounts we work for 50% more than they did the last time any of us saw a pay rise. It's all in the contract, yet they say they make less money so we cannot have a rise."

I seem to remember Dumghoul saying that something like 38% of the money DXC spends is on employee salaries.

If they have charged the clients 50% more there's a lot of slack in that for salaries...even if its not matching inflation.

Its quite clear, the money that should have been for normal employee wages has been used for share buy backs and exec bonuses and other guff.

It's not "can't" its simply "won't". Its a deliberate exploitation of employees and their families.

Good luck Spanish colleagues, stick it to the man!

DXC now charges the client accounts we work for 50% more than they did the last time any of us saw a pay rise. It's all in the contract, yet they say they make less money so we cannot have a rise. Meanwhile if you did want to do anything useful colleagues are determined to undermine it all so working here is futile.

If you imagine Raul doesn't know and he's being lied to by the others then you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

He even sat on an all hands call with them all while they all said "but we can't afford to pay employees any more until we make more money". (whilst getting ready for another $1bn share buy back and just after they have all had their annual trough refill)

He knows, he's complicit.

It will be interesting to see how the Spaniards get on with this. Whether they win or get crushed like Denmark were when they took on CSC and Lawrie...

Inflation has eroded everyone’s salaries at DXC (and elsewhere). DXC management ignore this and just load up there own wallets with bonuses and pay that is offensive to many.
