It’s disheartening to see so many misconceptions and negative comments here. Let’s clarify a few points:

  1. Sales is absolutely a real job. It’s a challenging and vital part of our business that requires skill and dedication. Dismissing it only undermines the hard work of many employees who contribute significantly to the company’s success.
  1. Leadership and Decision-Making: Changes in leadership and strategy are part of any evolving business. It’s easy to criticize from the outside, but these decisions are made with a long-term vision in mind. Constructive feedback is welcome, but baseless attacks only harm morale.
  1. MB, WS, and LC’s Leadership: MB and WS have shown exceptional leadership in transforming a struggling channel into something great. Their strategic vision and dedication have revitalized the sales channel, driving growth and innovation. Similarly, LC has proven to be a great leader by consistently demonstrating dedication, innovation, and a strong understanding of our industry. Under this leadership team, we have seen significant improvements in team performance and customer satisfaction. Their ability to inspire and lead by example is exactly what Windstream needs to move forward.

That’s so true , I see it everyday. Now the brain trust are putting out orders to upgrade customers over to fiber without customer contact. Just have the tech roll in without any warning. Good way to get a tech shot. Just when you think things can’t get any worse some yawho tries to turn lemons into lemonade.

“Is sales even a real job?”

Yes just create a new order type and cancel the old, counts as new, and then everyone gets paid via referral codes, employees, etc. it’s like a Ponzi scheme. But, hey, some of them do “sell” their bodies and selves to each other.

The Retail channel died the minute they got rid of the previous leadership team and handed it over to MB and WS. They are completely in over their heads.

How’s she still even have a job? That whole business model is broken in 2024.

MB is part of the problem, definitely not part of the solution

LC? Why didn’t the great MB get it? She expected it I’m sure.

"The sales channel desperately needs new leadership from outside of Kinetic that can bring new, fresh ideas and true leadership"

They had several prior to thr pre-uniti mass firings. At least one former director in the FTTT BU I can think of was really changing things for the better. Figured out how to remove a lot of friction from the sales channels to the engineering teams. He would have been a perfect MM replacement.
However, now I think he's COO somewhere better.

As much as I like seeing a companynthat promotes from within the problem here is that too many people in sales leadership do not have the education or ingenuity to be in the positions they hold. They just keep trying to do the same thing over and over and expect different results. The sales channel desperately needs new leadership from outside of Kinetic that can bring new, fresh ideas and true leadership. What they are currently doing simply does not work in today's world and without strong leadership in the sales channel there cannot be any success. I think that promoting lc is a great starting point and I hope that they continue the trend

I have no idea how MM got that position in the first place. This should’ve happened a LONG time ago!

I love it. A step in the right direction finally but they need to keep going. Don't stop at that level. Keep looking further down the chain
