Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

For those recently laid off

Were you given a notification date with a later termination date, or were you terminated immediately?

I was notified like a day before they cut my access but still kept me on for 30 days and I should be on severance soon? Wound still feels fresh for me though. I'm just happy I was able to nab another job within a month of my official end date.

Separation day (the day I was notified) was in January. My termination date was one month later, but I wasn't allowed to work (took my access away) beginning the day after separating.

“I was laid off in November and it was immediate.”

I wonder why some are given a 30 day buffer while others aren’t.

“I was notified and told by end of day the fill day my access would be cut. I was still an active employee for 30 days. Then, severance pay kicked in. Best thing ever to be out of the chaos.”

I would absolutely LOVE for this scenario to happen to me.

I was laid off in November and it was immediate. I was on PTO and my manager texted me if we could talk. But as shocked as I was, I'm now grateful to be away from there. I had a great career while there, but now everything I am reading I really hope it gets better for all who are still with the company.
