Here, a few more people than previous weeks but nowhere near 100%.

I apend my 3 days of “office time” sitting in traffic more than anything! It’s much better since school’s out but it’s still 2hrs minimum per day in car because traffic is beyond ridiculous all the time here (I’m 20 miles from office). I worked 45+ hours every week as WFH & late night hours when needed to meet deadlines. I was so grateful to WFH and showed it by going above & beyond. Then they reward us with increased stress & anxiety, horrible traffic, & the costs to go to the office! Not to mention, my heavy workload is now behind. I no longer work any extra hours & lose valuable time getting ready & commuting. I’m at the office 7-7.5 hrs on those 3 days & don’t take lunch or leave the building, I get work done but am interrupted & distracted a lot more than at home. Only a few of us were forced in & everyone at home isn’t working 10+ hr days with same band level or role, so why should we? The worst part is how unfair and unprofessional they handled it. It’s obvious the decisions were made by people who have zero clue as to what we actually do or contribute & they simply don’t care. If our managers made the decisions, I know many of us wouldn’t be forced in. When your output is consistently high, they don’t want to lose you. I hate this for the great managers like we have on our team because I know they will eventually lose people & did nothing to deserve the headache it brings. It’s funny to hear people claim they enjoy going to office. How can anyone enjoy sitting in traffic accomplishing nothing? Keep your head up everyone!!
There’s a manager in a cubicle next to me who is office aligned but has been in once that I’ve seen (I am here 3x a week generally). They weren’t here on Tuesday and not here today. Guess managers don’t have to follow anchor days (or this person doesn’t mind getting fired).
There’s also a guy here at CT who uses a walker. Guarantee he wants to be at home and it is cruel that Cigna forced him here.
I agree. It is unfair and many of us are being punished for no good reason. Adjust your work in equal measure to the punishment. I have substantially dialed back what I complete on in office days. I used to work 50 hours a week. Now I rarely go over 40. There won’t ever be a return to remote unless it is clear that Cigna gets more money out of us working from home if we want.
Two anchor days complete, and my biggest accomplishment is figuring out the following:.
A lot people ignored it.
My manager is well within the 50 miles from an office, but not office aligned.
Others, are also well within the 50, (nothing like NY traffic), but got an exception due to being too far away. Guess they calculated the scenic route.
I feel punished. I was WFH long before C-19. Barely put 1K miles on my vehicle a year, and now I'll be pushing a little more than 13K.
Anyone else have THAT wonderful person who is monitoring and watching your time in the office? 😂 Walking aisles and checking their watch? Get a life!!!
Haaa no haven't seen this thank goodness
They also say everything with exceptions (being sick, schedule issues, etc) are monitored for overuse and abuse. So I don't see anyone getting away with being sick all the time on anchor days.

Policy says you need to be in office Tuesday, Wednesday and one other day of your choice. Full 8hour days. They would never put “if you are sick don’t come in” cause then everyone would just say “I’m sick, can’t come in”
I thought the policy said they don't want you in if you're sick (regardless of the day)?
Yep. I'm not about to blow a PTO day to be sick. I will drag myself in for the full 8 hour day of collaboration, culture, and spontaneous conversations. Just as ordered to.
Sorry to anyone I may infect but it's not up to me.
“People seem to be ignoring the idea of staying home if you're sick. Hearing several gross coughs”
This would require you to take PTO if it’s in an anchor day.
No you have not, stop fear mongering
Seeing several folks flee after a few hours (even in an office with badge swipe out).
I’ve received these reports but ok sure they’re not looking
This is not true, they are not looking at what network you are connected too
People seem to be ignoring the idea of staying home if you're sick. Hearing several gross coughs nearby.
“I also hear Dallas has no badge out capabilities so they can all stay ten minutes and leave I guess. Seems unfair”
Not true - they’re tracking adherence in other ways (what network computers are connected to).
“Is anyone hearing rumors that Cigna might accumulate more building space in areas to accommodate for the people outside the 50 miles. If so, which cities?”
I doubt this is true given the MA sale.
HCSC will almost definitely acquire some offices in the deal.
Cigna may eventually need to get more space, but it would probably be later next year.

“I would be on the jobs board looking for a transfer opportunity.”
Agreed
I would go to any other hybrid role so long as there were other team members in the office.
“Still the only person on my team in the building, while all other same role/same level team members work from home. Sick of having a boss who won't even try to get it rectified for fear of putting their neck out.”
That does stink.

Bloomfield is hosting Tech Conference so it is busier than usual. But honestly not many more full desks than there were on previous Wednesdays. There is a manager with a cubicle a couple over from mine who has not come in once until today. Curious to see if she feels the rules apply to her or not. In my case it is still worthless for me to be here as my team is spread out over the globe and I am coming in to work remotely from my desk. Wasteful and arrogant if leadership. But then again this isn’t about collaboration. They will have to lay me off and give me severance. No way I will just quit or let myself get fired.
Similar here. I feel like a chump, dutifully coming in when so many others aren't. But I can't afford to lose my job so I guess I'm stuck.
Wished I could post a video of my office. Literally a ghost town, one person in, but all the way on the other side of the building. Not worth my 1 hr 15 min drive.
Need better toilet paper. Imagine all the #2s taking place at work instead of at home. It’s not just the figurative #2 we have to deal with - literally #2 clogging up the pipes. Hope Cigna has plumbers on call especially in CT.
It's my first day in (needed a deferment yesterday) and it seems busy here, even as an early bird.
A coworker tells me her office has not been. I also hear Dallas has no badge out capabilities so they can all stay ten minutes and leave I guess. Seems unfair.
I’m still WFH. Spent lunch floating in the pool. Got a little cloudy though, so that was a bummer.
Things seemed fine in the Bloomfield office, definitely busier than usual and got to see a good amount of my coworkers
Not my first day back, but I saw more folks than before. But all this "building is at capacity" business is utter bologna. There were tons of empty workspaces in our pod. Still the only person on my team in the building, while all other same role/same level team members work from home. Sick of having a boss who won't even try to get it rectified for fear of putting their neck out. Stinks. Any way you slice it.
First time and only time I went before (to get my badge), only saw two other people in an office of <40. Think today there may have been about 15. Immediately was pulled into a spontaneous webex meeting upon entering the office so I ended up staying longer than intended.
Spent about 1:10 minutes total driving, and that was in non-peak traffic times. This is on Cigna's time, not my own, and will continue to be if they expect me to show up to an office where I'm the only person on my team.
Oh…is today the first mandatory in-office day?
I'd say about 2x of what I've seen here before, but still vastly empty. But then the power went out so not a great first step for leadership, lol
Same in CT. Probably the same though because Tech Conference is here so we have plenty of visitors from out of town.
