Why are people so upset with going in an additional week?

Don’t give them a reason NOT give you a severance. Do what you can, even if it’s the bare minimum.

Building/industrial sickness. A lot of people get horrible migraines in office to then point of being unable to get out bed and with vomiting.

Anywhere from 2 to 6 hours and work the rest at home.

Idgaf that they are tracking swipes, they’ve been doing that since they installed the exit badge outs. My biggest gripe is how little they communicate any expectations about any of this and employees are just left to fear monger on made up rumors and gossip of people getting fired. If they say managers can only see badge in info of “attended onsite” in workday for performance stats then I will continue to “attend onsite” whether that’s 1 minute or 8 hours to get that mark on workday until they give explicit clear instructions.

I understand some people have disabilities, but smh if you need a medical exemption from going to work. This is the Gen-X in me coming out but WTH is wrong with you? It’s not even assigned seating, so you can hide for long periods of time. Take 8 po-p breaks, who cares?

They are tracking swipes. If you wanna chance getting fired by gaming the system, go on ahead. Don't be a cry baby when you get fired. In New Mexico several people I know have been given written warnings for not fully attending connect week. They are looking for reasons to get rid of people. And this is a good one .. and all those medical exceptions? Good luck with that. You are expendable and in most states it's very very easy to fire someone with no reason ..

I got a medical exception and was fired a month later for no reason. Hadn’t even had so much as a verbal warning in regards to anything at all in my tenure there. Be careful with the medical exceptions.

I do need to get a medical exception as I get ill often when I go in
But I go in extremely early in the morning so I leave early but it’s still 7-8 hours
Then I sign back on at home

Bunch of blind complying folks in here lol I am no longer motivated by Fidelitys scare tactics and beat around the bush leadership. In office time going into metrics? It’s not like they’re going to be generous with decent bonus funding anyway. If they have a problem with the scan and dash they can come have a direct conversation about it and not this “energizing dynamic culture synergy” bs.

Laying off people who aren’t coming to the office anyway won’t make more room for the rest of us.

They’re going to be pushing a lot of remote people out this summer. In September they are probably going to terminate more employees who haven’t complied with connect weeks, and that would include those getting cute with the swipe & bail. They warned you a few months ago that they’re tracking your data, so I don’t understand why people do this.

@Qf9ex1 you talk about making their decisions easier in September. Of course we’re going to 2 weeks in September, but I’m wondering what those decisions are. What have you heard about September layoffs?

Usually 8-8.5 hours day during connect weeks. It’s not ideal, but it’s better from what normal was not long ago. They track how long you’re in the office, but do as you will! You’ll make their decisions come September easier.

If you’re really doing that, why do you bother getting dressed and commuting to work? Are you actually getting credit on your Workday calendar for “attended onsite” for that fast of a stay? It seems like a waste of time because even if it is giving you credit right now, at some point soon they’re likely going to fire you for doing this. I feel like once you’re all the way in, why not stay 4 hours, get a sandwich, and actually log the hours?
