How many lay-offs have there been in 2024 thus far?

They acknowledge all annual anniversaries and typically send a card or a plaque depending on if it's a milestone year
Regarding the work anniversary comment, does the company generate an annual message to workers, or just for “milestone” ones like 5, 10, etc.?
There is definitely something happening within Medicare that goes beyond exiting specific markets. Still think they’d going to sell certain products or entities and that’s why they keep systems so separate.
This is for sure interesting. Behavior in my area has been very out of the ordinary. Unexplained decisions, poor communication, lack of oversight, random micromanagement to the point of aggression. So that tells me something is happening. Leaders who behave one way for years don’t just flip their script overnight.
Org changes and unexplained title changes are major red flags. I was in the October RIF and in September titles mysteriously changed and no one announced anything, you just happened to see the title change on Teams...my title didn't change and I was the only one impacted. Also if you have a work anniversary and you don't receive any type of acknowledgement from Centene it's likely you're on a RIF list...I saw that happen to a colleague that was also impacted. He later discovered his RIF was decided the same day as his work anniversary, based on the date on his severance agreement.

You tell no lies. Finally someone credible! In yhr October RIF, the first thing that happened out of the blue for my area was what...AN ORG. CHANGE! Duties suddenly were shifted around.
I can’t say - sorry! There was a HR nite to select leaders and then a side note to a few more. I’m in that loop but can’t out myself.
Know this - when an email goes out about an org change, pay attention. There’s the message they include, but it’s what they don’t include that is often more telling.

Can you say what area(s)?
Couple senior leaders learned today was the beginning of their “exit strategy”.
It’s clear that leadership has adapted to the leak last year. We will never get a good clear picture until it’s too late.
Prepare now, expect the worst, and always be ready if and when it happens.
I heard that New Mexico lost its Medicaid contract and is letting go of its Compliance department. I'm not sure if the same is true for others.
I’ve been told there are two layoffs scheduled in Q3 and Q4 within BTS. Not sure about other areas.
If you are a 'works from home' employee, the company does not have to report your layoff to the state since you are technically considered a workplace of just 1 employee, and a 1 employee layoff does not warrant an economic impact to the state. That means you are not included in the works full-time at the office layoff count which is required to be reported to the state. Only in a post-COVID world ...
This month? Interesting they keep announcing no layoffs.
If the rumors are true, a big one is coming supposedly this mont
Not sure anyone has a total number. I’m personally aware of six in and around my area. There are also markets affected but I’m not close enough to that.
I've seen about three separate claims in here
