Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

Severance packages

I have seen a couple of posts saying that severance packages for yesterday’s layoffs are poor compared to those from last year’s layoffs. Can anyone share data points?

My understanding is that it’s on par with last year’s severance (where paid weeks is determined by your level and your tenure- those variables seem similar to what was offered last year)

Is severance worse for non-US regions? Due to CA WARN noticed not being issued to all CA remote workers?

I was laid off April 22, I got 3 months and benefits for 5 months. I do live in CA and I think the laws here are more favorable to employees compared to other states.

I got boned on my RSUs last year so that's a huge + for this round. I did get insurance for longer (WARN related I suspect)

I was whacked last year in the April layoff. I received statutory minimum severance according to my state's laws. I didn't ask around much, but everything I heard from frontline managers and individual contributors was aligned to statutory minimums like my own severance. I can't speak for what higher level folks received, but if you're seeing bare bones packages, that's how it has been through three consecutive rounds, so far as I can tell.
