Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Any changes in marketing and finance?

Just curious if anyone is aware in any brilliant HR initiatives hitting them?

We’re only going to market to India going forward.

“ It's been over 4 years since the offshoring effort started. Don't they have any results yet?”

Results have been 4-5 major outages in the past 15 months all thanks to India.

@iah+1sLaAwdi - HR puppets who work for the “new” think tank team treat human beings as “resources” who need to be “efficient”. Just drop that “human” side from the job title if you are unable to advocate for the skillsets and livelihoods for the employees.

Marketing is fine. Still thriving in their ivory tower.

I would think that a smart HR department would come up with a "winning in India" skit. Working with India is producing good results. It's been over 4 years since the offshoring effort started. Don't they have any results yet?

The ‘feel good about the cuts’ reflection just mentioned comes from business communications. LOL. HR doesn’t determine the business messaging around the business decisions. Of course, HR may be able to influence some of the language but at the end of the day the business is going to say and do what they want.

I mean yes it is Business decision but HR always gives a “feel good about the cuts” reflection. Please do not distance yourselves from the accomplishments. SDI HR lead gave a very nice speech how much “care” was put in hard decisions. Well, it does not matter. Instead of growing and utilizing existing skillsets and experience, you did not offer a growth path and put it on employees. Shameful. Location Strategy coalition? Even worse. And if after getting on the stagecoach for more than decades someone has to again ask themselves, “Why Wells Fargo?”, the first question to ponder is “Which Wells Fargo has this become, where the #1 priority is cutting off people in US and mindlessly outsource?”

Finance seems to be ahead of the curve on WLS and remote situations. Not sure about marketing, but seems they are always overpaid and bloated.

Those aren’t HR initiatives eliminating your jobs. That’s your brilliant business leaders cutting costs and consolidating sites.
