Had an interview today. 2nd interview.
I met with a department VP of one of Centene's competitors. He made sure that I understood that leaving this company was a good choice. And yes, he made sure to note the decline of their reputation within the healthcare insurance community.
I don't care if I don't get that job. Well, yes I do but the conversation gave me a sense of relief.
Toxic work environment. Some leaders here are unethical and get away with shuffling emails, bullying employees all while collecting a huge salary and bonuses. No surprises here, once everyone stopped trusting HR and the surveys we all knew what was coming. Layoff after layoff the bullies still here and have the power to decide who gets laid off. So the competition is at an advantage of hiring the “individual contributors “from this toxic culture and growing their business.
Wow! A headhunter reached out to me on LI, and when screened they said, "Oh yea, I've come across SEVERAL people from Centene so welcome to the club!" This recruiter was on the other side of the country!
I didn't think anyone would notice, but I guess the word is really out!

I tell them the truth, they are corrupt, are always paying off Lawsuit Settlements for overcharging, very cruel if you ask me being in the Health Care business. I've come to learn that Centene is a very biased company. If your a Male do not apply or work at Centene.

As someone who learned about my layoff in the media first, I wanted to slam them but I didn't lol!
I remember an old episode in South Park where everyone in town loved the smell of their own farts. I swear this is Centene. Completely unaware of their failing and don't care.
