Spoke to someone in the know who said June 25th is going to be a massacre. Even senior management will be clipped. Charlie is sharpening his Ginsu

As HR people have apparently confirmed a bunch on here, they can only handle so many terms at once so it’s more or less a constant place. I wouldn’t be surprised if at any given moment they are focusing mostly on certain LOBs, so a given day or week might feel like “a massacre” from the ground level. But unless you’re going to say a particular LOB you heard about on a given date, I’m inclined to think posts like this are BS.
I am hearing 6/11 as well.
Expecting a big layoff in our LOB in July
Planning to layoff twice as many as last year, 2025 will be one giant heightened awareness/freeze drill.
I have no idea what exact dates people will be cut, but I do know that HY truly hates the domestic workforce and they haven't set aside an extra billion dollars for severance just for kicks. I'm guessing at least 20k will get downsized this year, after 12k last year. We'll see.
actually true. a coworker of mine was prenoticed for a June 25 layoff. gonna be big.
It's gonna be EPIC.
Like: total bedlam, butchery, havoc, sla-ghter, slaying, annihilation, blitz, extermination, an offing, a shambles.
People really are a competitive advantage.
Time is running out on head of risk.
@xjf+1sKYN545 in “the real world” we’ve been offshoring analytics roles for almost a decade, hence why they are paid less. You think those “hard skills” are more desirable, but the reality is they fit right in with what cheap Indian labor is good at.
Annie Em, it’s a Twister, it’s a Twister 🌪️🌪️
lol. this site never fails.
June 11th is the true bloodbath. Mark my words
Beiware.
Good luck to everyone. This waiting game has been nerve wrecking!
true, I am on the data loss prevention team and we were advised in March about a large purge in June. Don’t know numbers, as that’s above my pay grade but can confirm.
@sqc+1sKYN545 You will be fine!
Whatever your experience is and wherever you decide to apply …be sure in interviews the WF specific skills can expand in other companies.
Good luck to you and everyone!
BEs are paid a lot. A BE level 3 gets paid same range as AC4. A snr mgr BE tops out at 250k in geo zone 2 while as r mgr analytics tips out at 196. That’s ridiculous as analytics more highly sought after in real world.
Re “ Where is head of HR? ” we need to note she was head of compensation at her last job and comp has gone downhill here. Revising bonuses has ki-led many peoples TC.
We are in this together at least. I just want to know where the next move should be after Wells though, I have been here for 2 yrs and it’s my first job out of college.
Nothing is going happen folks. That huge layoff severance reserve that was announced is all going to golden parachutes for senior excs. The rest of us just will be driven to quit with false and fabricated reviews and massive workloads. What happened to employee appreciation? Was it just smoke and mirrors? Where is head of HR? Just another clueless puppet.
Looking at the job posting there are 1,039 US jobs/ 616 India jobs with "Business execution" in their heading. So maybe Wells is rehiring all the BEs they have laid off in the last three years.
The BEs are the facilitators that drive and maintain the bank's processes. I found that they were highly overpaid for the service they provided to the bank. Is a BE a traditional project manager... or a business analyst... or an architect? What role does a BE have in agile?
Or in Six Sigma? Looking at the job specifications there is not a single mention of a required certification. I found in the 10+ years I was at this bank the BE's were glorified note-takers and fear-mongers.
When this bank went agile they at first got rid of many BEs. Since agile failed the bank is rehiring the BEs. This is not going to end well.
We can only hope
Ha, more of a quick spray and wipe. The mess won't be from blood, it'll be from party streamers and balloon drops.
That lines up with the filings Wells made with the layoffs.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
