I know that performance is irrelevant for mass layoffs hitting a division.
I am talking about routine clean up according to rank stacking, where performance reviews are used.

I can think of about 20 people in my old unit of oracle that have literally been stealing money for the last 20 years. Absolutely useless human beings. They all deserve to be let go. Maybe go be Walmart greeters. Filth.
Hopefully things will change for the better, soon. SC’s recent interview alluding to AI mgmt changes would definitely make a much needed difference in public opinion that is not exactly good right now. Stock sales are needed. Profits are good but institutional stock sales are way down due to losing confidence in O because of Cerner unresolved issues. It’s going to take a while for that mountain to move.
Meanwhile if they wouid take a close look and send the Self proclaimed Oligarch that calls employees commodities to where he belongs for the next 10-12,years, postive PR feedback would encourage investments and wake up the out of touch upper mgmt.
Maybe a few news clips to that point would get their attention.
