Root causes being addressed, the recurring nightmare to a manager who keeps seeing this person behind a garbage can who looks really scary , turned out to be something they could have addressed years ago, actually having techs looking into areas of recurring concerns , actually earning those elite titles
So glad I left the farm when I did. I don't miss these days of "no systems working yet still answer calls to pi---d off customers " one bit!
AWS arch shadiness.. ECS was built to be a tu-d anyway
Unplug a machine and people dont know what to do. Sickening and a fine example of the d-mbing of America.
@1ksi………..lamenting the lack of reward for real people, while expecting that automation perform all the unpleasant tasks for you. Irony can be so ironic.
All AWS ... going to AWS has to be the stupidest thing ... Zero stability, Vulnerable to being Hacked, Enormous data centers to house and costing almost 3 times as the Mainframe... ID--TS
These outages make State Farm look like a clown show. Phones should be turned off with a system status message instead of expecting low level employees to run the apology wagon and get yelled at every call. Hard to instill confidence we'll handle your claim properly when we can't keep the lights on...
As frustrating as it is....you have to take the calls and explain the situation. People can't call in and just have nobody answer the phone.
Its only going to get worse .... Much worse.
