This place is great! The job is easy, accountability does not exist here. I use about 10% of the skills I came with. The only downfall is getting RIF'ed, but if that happens, I get paid to leave. What's not to like about this place.

I know that this post was sarcastic but the sad thing is, I really DID love working here at one time-when it was Anthem. Even though it was the most disorganized company with the worst on boarding/ training I had ever experienced in my career! Lol. :-D. loved my team and we are still in touch. We were all RIF’d in October 2023. We all started the department from the very beginning, were told we were very successful-and they cut our team in half keeping the newest members and letting go the people who had trained them. I’m here to tell you that there is life after Elevance health. I found a new job by February 2024 in the most unlikely of places and I love it. I don’t even miss Elevance anymore (checked back here because I had heard there were more layoffs). I went from WAH to back into a hospital after 20 years.
Ha I’m on the spectrum and I caught the sarcasm lol. But for real, I get it. Though every time I’ve had my fingers crossed it doesn’t happen…I know at some point the time will come if I am d-mb enough to stick it out, been here >12 years but <20

Haha. OP sounds like a Sr manager. As leaders go they su-k so bad the only way they justify themselves is through layoffs. The ol' rope a dope to keep the focus off of their failure. I’ve never seen a more inadequate leadership team than what is in IT. They invest $s in the wrong ”products”, make decisions based on how flashy a PP deck is, lay people off because of their poor management, then accuse/blame lower level directors and managers when problems happen due to lack of resources....which was their fault in the first place because they chase shiny new toys with no ROI and no measurable value all in the name of preserving their bonus.
Second thought, maybe 10% is shooting high.

I’m reading this as being meant sarcastically. If not, you must be in management.
h1b visa and outsourcing are great.
I agree with OP. This is free lunch.
Yeah…the great thing is…they won’t bother RIFing you until you get to 20 years or more so you have many many years to save that competitive salary they pay…oh wait…
Yes, great place to work until they start letting go of people and start offshoring
