No instructions come with the do-it-yourself kit as no recalls are wanted.

Is it a do-it-yourself kit?

Stop trying to make EVs that are mobile offices or entertainment centres on wheels and the cost can come down significantly. I shake my head every time we get asked to add a new feature that is not safety or driving related. Especially when we have to spend all this energy on something you can only use when the vehicle is stopped or limited to the passenger. Sure, some are nice to have, but strip them out to give an affordable vehicle with less things that break.

Did we resurrect the Think vehicles? If so, where's the Happy Meal that goes with it?

A $25k EV is not something you want to buy unless you're using it to tool around your retirement community in Florida. If $100k gets you a Lightening or Cyber Truck, just imagine the garbage you'll get for $25k. It's like paying $5k for a Cub Cadet EV lawn mower at Home Depot. People are so stupid and gullible, and thats before they pay to get rid of it. What, you don't honestly believe dealerships are just going to keep taking these garbage EV's chock full of environmental waste back do you? Eventually consumers are going to be forced to pay to get rid of them.

$25,000 will only cover the UAW cost.

Any cheap products will have to pass all the FMVSS tests so I'm expecting to see maybe something sub compact with amazing styling if it happens at all - maybe a Twizy with real doors. Then there's the question about who gets "elected". Tariffs could be another pop-your-bubble thing. Meh, a whole lot of promises have been made over the years by lots of badges that ain't around anymore. A few dozen thermal events and shazam, no market says Gomer. EV's don't save or even reduce net energy consumption just shift it to other depleting feed stocks of fuel so what is the point?

I’ll never buy one of those batteries…. Maybe lease one, so I’m not stuck with a car that is depreciating faster a Yugo.

They are going to need to lay off a lot more people to make that happen.

Doubt it that Ford can manufacture $25k EV which meets all safety requirements.
