From over 100 open positions a couple months ago, there are only 15? Slim and to the bone as former central division VP JP use to say. Drive them to insanity and to quit.......... there are more waiting to get your spot.

It’s fine to find a new job but to leave for another fiber company bc network might get sold is funny. Do you really think these new fiber companies are not looking to sell in 2-3 years.
We are lowering our capital expenses so that network is a cheaper buy and we don’t have to lay off as many when we are acquired. Duh. The cheaper our expenses the better we look. Also, think of all of those unvested RSUs that get reabsorbed by the company. Ultra fancy finance move.
The real problem with the attrition is that they still need people to do the work so we are all stuck picking up the slack.
I know in my floor about 1/4 of the people are actively interviewing for jobs. I do feel bad for those left behind, though. I love my coworkers, but can’t take the abuse or go down with the ship.
Looks to be no one internally is allowed to move up anyways. And the managers that are there, are just looking to cover their own behind. Heaven forbid they acknowledge they made a mistake, just waiting for people to get fed up and leave so the new, lower paid, uneducated person comes in and drinks the Kool-aid. All the while pushing the work on to someone else, just to clean an inbox.
