...and then try to sell you on the idea that working in an office is so much better

They will do some sort of cookies or snacks event at Charlotte, and nothing for remote.
And then in Charlie's Town Hall someone will ask about layoffs and he'll say, "Ah, uhm, layoffs? I know we eliminated a few positions but we don't have any plans for any large numbers of layoffs."
@1mcv+1sCZgJEc I see. They think if they say “Thank You” one week, they can cr_p all over us the other 51 weeks? So will they still be laying people off during Employee Appreciation Week? What is this WF swag we keep hearing about? I see the execs wearing WF swag, with dozens of options in their closets. The only WF swag I have received is a mask. Should we wear those?
I do not feel appreciated.
Welcome to Wells Fargo. Charlie loves you.
Look forward to appreciation week in June - if you make it that long SU-KERS!
Just another example of how completely tone deaf the leadership is.
Are you feeling depressed and anxious because of your job? Go to yoga or some corporate sponsored counseling so you can learn how to tolerate being treated like sh*t…
Employee Appreciation Week at Wells Fargo is a time dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the hard work and achievements of its employees. It's an opportunity for the company to express gratitude and recognize the valuable contributions that staff members make to the success of the organization. During this week, Wells Fargo may host various events and activities, such as award ceremonies, team-building exercises, and wellness programs, all designed to make employees feel valued, supported, and inspired. This initiative is part of Wells Fargo's broader commitment to creating a positive work environment where employees can thrive both professionally and personally, feeling energized, protected, and prepared for the future.
Charlie here. I appreciate your sacrifice.
Thanks for kissing a-s. I appreciate you.
Typical WF move. Usually butter us up with EA week before the next Round of…i am a little bit more worried about 6/25…just a thought 💭
Each day of the week will be different. Will have a luncheon (LOB specific), WF swag day, cookie cart cookies, etc.
@spy I think you had it right the first time. No payoffs that week.
They appreciate you being their modern slaves.
You can take the yoga and meditation courses
The purpose is the same for everything Hudson Yards does: to drive voluntary attrition. It's all they care about and they will do anything to get it done, moral/legal or otherwise. They do not care. These are people that would rather see you dead than get a severance.
If RTO is such a benefit and priority, then why the massive influx of hiring overseas? Better yet, why is WF spending such a premium on domestic office space? HY and SF are literally some of the most expensive commercial real estate in the US, if not world. We're not "better together" or engaging collaboratively or being "lean", then what it is the point?
There is an agenda for the week:
- Monday-Friday: Take care of your health by packing up your cubicle and taking a nice stroll to your car.
- Tuesday: Learn about how to find another job to secure your financial future
- Thursday: Listen to how great RTO is and all our wonderful visits to I&P
All week: See and hear how we laugh at you both in-person and virtually.
Please ignore the fact we're laying off thousands for frivolous reasons and half our staff will soon be overseas, cause we appreciate you.
Complete #wellsfargoshitshow
Dont worry they are being "thoughtful" with there layoffs, so that makes it all better.
If they really appreciated us they would let us WFH. FU$k RTO!!
Haha! Nice timing
Is this the heart-y surprise?
Sorry meant *layoffs
No, they will fire extra people that week. Anything to drive voluntary attrition.
What a joke and I have to do a mid year check in.
