Thoughts on categorizing employees into pie charts? How is this helping the company?

I would rather have it public than not. Even if you don’t like the subject, transparency is always a good thing. Any big employer is going to see you as a statistic
I'll take the dei initiatives serious when North Slope starts approaching 60/40 male/female....until then it's just pandering.
Agreed. It gives people a reason to feel marginalized. Whether you are black, white, brown, male, female, various orientations. . . . .you now have a reason to feel marginalized and complain.
It also tells me that there is discrimination as we are purposely targeting various groups of people in hiring, promoting, and management. Make no mistake, it isn't "reverse discrimination" when you seek out a minority group, it is just discrimination.
It helps when it’s time for more layoffs. Merit has nothing to do with it. It’s all about ticking boxes to avoid lawsuits.
