There are a lot of seasoned employees would like off this sinking ship. But Kate and crew won’t do it. Even though they can replace them with cheaper help. But she would listen to directors who have no clue and MRO who are just trying to save there jobs. let us go, please?

I am glad for those who got out. But now all there work falls on those left. I want to thank Kate and tell her I appreciate the raise that went with the extra work. Hope she reads this. Thanks
Your definition of appropriate and their definition can be vastly different.
" the company is not going to put themselves in a situation where they don't have the appropriate staffing"
Where TF you been? They have already done that. Several times over. There isn't enough workers left to do the work.
When you sign your "get the heck out of here" papers, be sure to read the fine print.
And lets be honest...a package is so your wont sue them. If someone was let go without cause (i.e. without previous writeups, or discipline, or on PIP, etc) you could call the nearest workplace lawyer and force one out of them. They dont want to deal with that...so they give you something on the way out.
"Not everybody gets a severance package at their company ya know"
Their company? This is the Lumen layoff page, I'm pretty sure anyone at "this company" would get a severance package if layed off.
Those wanting a package but either not offered or rejected, the company is not going to put themselves in a situation where they don't have the appropriate staffing

Duh. What are you simple? If you quit you get nothing, if they let you go they give you a package.
Yes please! I know a lot of techs who want out
