Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Layoffs are coming soon

Immediately after the survey results are announced and managers create plans to address concerns, the layoffs will begin. This time, people will be asked to leave on a voluntary basis. If there are not enough volunteers, then it will transition to involuntary layoffs. There is a labor cost overage of better than $3 Million that cannot be pulled from anywhere else, so this is inevitable. If you’re a valuable employee, you won’t be asked unless you’re in the field, which is where the reductions are planned. Good luck people.

It’s about time they hit the executive levels. They’ve been building out their silo empires for far too long.

Sievert TellsTruth Is an id--t and is likely one of the ball lickers that seem to have survived all of the layoffs to-date because they have the nutsacks of the SLT stuffed in their mouths. T-Mobile is a farce filled with the aforementioned and former Sprint Slugs (normally one and the same) that have ZERO marketable skills. Their only skills involve being “Yes-Men” (likely trans) who have no independent thoughts who continue to leech off the company while valuable employees are walked out the door because they refuse to fall in line with all of the DEI and other ridiculous initiatives the company has implemented. Glad I’m no longer there!

I know of 3 people that were laid off in the last few weeks in Cybersecurity. Not fired, position eliminated.

This was last spring's order of events:

1st - Survey went out
2nd - Layoffs occurred
3rd - Survey read out by org leader

Will this next readout happen before or after the May AEM?

Mike Sievert said there would be no more layoffs. When has he ever not told the truth. If you work for T-Mobile today, your job is secure.

Hyperbole I hope. Otherwise, In front of congress 5 years back to start…

OP is lying. As usual absolutely no proof provided. T-Mobile is about to announce another amazing quarterly result despite laying off 5000 employees last year. The losers are gone. The winners survived. Mike Sievert said there would be no more layoffs. When has he ever not told the truth. If you work for T-Mobile today, your job is secure. OP is still pi---d about being laid off last year and the severance has about run out and is still unemployed. Loser.

Heard from the grapevines that they are also trying to beef up the CAPEX in order to get ready for 2026 commitments. This will create further pressure to cut corners and make knee-jerk changes in the workforce. On top of that, managers already started completing talent assessment surveys for ICs under them so all of the OPs predictions fall in line.
