Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Very Disgusted!!

During the town hall when they took phone questions, does anyone else think it was rude and insensitive that David and the others claimed they couldn't hear the first caller very well? He had an accent, but it wasn't extreme. I understood him, but David said he couldn't hear him. Is it because he couldn't understand him or because he didn't want to answer the question?

It just shows he cares very little about his employees or customers. The man is only about his wallet. So, I will keep coming in & sharing in this plague. Enjoy my germs HELLDANI! Maybe we should all take a stroll through the exec wing, & let out a cough or two, on the way to no-man’s land.

“Thats what the townhall is for.” you’d think so, but it is only for ELT propaganda and gaslighting. After the town hall last year, where someone from a Evernorth subsidiary asked what was happening and said their whole team felt “betrayed” (the look of panic on Cordani face was priceless) any questions actually asked are either planted or vetted to make sure they aren’t going to be embarrassing for the C-suite.

@1ugy+1s5dGaSf Technically all questions can be directed to HR . I think one should feel safe to ask ANY question without judgement. Thats what the townhall is for.

I couldn’t understand the question. And I was so annoyed with the last question that discussed voting in context of an employee at Cigna. I don’t care.

The question was can the US Employees coverage be extended to family living overseas. So nothing controversial that DC would avoid .

Why would anyone ask that? Jesus, ask HR. DC is not there for that.

During a town hall last year someone asked him if they would finally fix webex. Come on. Big picture, strategy questions, people.

I honestly couldn't understand the question. Maybe David didn't understand or couldn't hear it well enough to understand. Either way, would you have preferred that he say I can't understand you or I can't hear you? If he had said I can't understand you it would have probably hurt the guy's feelings, and you would be here saying the exact same thing. You're disgusted because you're looking for something to be disgusted about.

Grasping at anything to be upset about at this point.

I couldn't understand what the guy was saying or asking and I was wearing headphones. I'm not surprised David couldn't understand.

What was the question?

I don’t think it was a question he would have skipped, so it seems he genuinely didn’t understand the question. But they said they will get back to the person . So it’s okay. I was able to clearly understand the question though. I was attending on phone line.

I couldn’t understand what he was asking either. I don’t think it was necessarily his accent, more the phone line being choppy and how he was wording the question

Hmmm, it's funny how they were able to understand everyone else.

Sorry but it was very hard to understand that caller. It wasn’t the accent, it was the phone line. At least in the auditorium it was very hard to understand.
