Everyone is at risk of layoffs for at least the end of the year. That said, some orgs are less at risk than others. But if it means padding the bottom line Cigna is happy to let people go.
This poster is correct. Don't think you're safe for one second. This management is layoff-happy and will not hesitate to cut more of us.
Wishing for a layoff is great, but I can't tell if severance would not be given if you haven't already been towing the line regarding the existing in-office requirements. Does anyone know?

I know I will be downvoted for this but I agree with another poster who said a layoff would be a relief. I would literally cry tears of joy if I were to be told that I’m being replaced by AI or an offshore worker.

I will say, from experience, the job elimination call I received several months ago was truly a relief. I had no clue just how stressed and pi---d off I had become. I enjoyed the first couple of weeks just enjoying life. Of course, my phone rang nonstop from those left behind and questioning how or when things should be done. I still receive several calls a week from my former teammates who are miserable and trying to find a way out.
I’m thankful to have gotten out alive because looking back, the stress would’ve gotten me. Take care of yourselves first. Cigna doesn’t care about your mental capacity, they just want the job done.
Many are not safe even after the end of the year due to new offices in India and Ireland. Do not think it’s only technology jobs going.
