I hope you don’t find this message insulting in anyway, I just cannot contain my excitement any longer.
I finally, finally, finallllyyy put in my resignation. I got a new position, different company, different field. And I literally screamed from happiness and almost cried. The fu--ing joy I feel knowing I am leaving this horrible piece of sh-t company is a joy I hope many of you can relate to when you are given the opportunity to leave.
This is by far the most fu---d up company I have ever worked for. I’m tired of sugar coating it, I’m tired of trying to convince myself that the treatments of “below” “bottom feeder” employees is normal. Because it’s fu--ing not. The overworking, under compensation, removal of incentives, mandatory OT, micro-managing, sh---y benefits.. is not fu--ing normal. It is a piece of sh-t predatory system gaslighting it’s employees into thinking this is the best they can do, this is the best they can get, and this is the best to ever be offered to them. First of all let me just say Fu-k you, wholeheartedly to anyone who defends this toxic ideology, mindset, and behavior. It is NOT normal. I have worked for Centene rivals such as UHC, Humana, etc. I’ve worked for bigger companies such as Oracle, and I’ve worked in smaller companies, and never have I ever experienced such horrible treatment as an employee. NEVER. Employees aren’t asking to be praised, we simply ask to be respected, treated fairly, compensated fairly, and given decent benefits/vacation time/PTO/sick days.
My new position is at a relatively small company, with annual revenue of approx 80-100 million and they work in 7 different states.. the compensation is much higher than what Centene starts off the “bottom feeders.” Decent retirement matching plans, decenthealth plans, automatic 80 hour PTO that increases by 5-10 hours every year that you work with them, wifi stipend, and travel stipends if you live more than 25 miles from nearest office and have to go in person.
A simple decent job, that gives the employees decent opportunities!!
Anyways moral of the story, if you are unhappy here and it’s deeply affecting ur mental health the way it affected mine, I’m telling you, the job market isn’t as scary as it seems, there are many job opportunities out there, just learn how to search for them, don’t use the main sites like Indeed, if you have LinkedIn, search on LinkedIn but not through the job boards, search jobs using the “post” section on LinkedIn, many companies are posting “looking for a … anyone interested” and u can comment/message that person.
Another way is by applying on that company’s website directly instead of using a third party. Google companies ur interested in or Google what companies are in ur field of interest and apply like that.
I’ve realized during this job search that one of the important tricks to finding a good job is learning how to search for them because majority of jobs are hidden and not posted on job-boards.
I hope everyone reading this has a great day!
