Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

ProdCo is rudderless

What exactly is the competitive advantage for intel products anymore? There is none. Intel CPUs are a commodity now. When will the geniuses on ELT understand this?

CPUs -

  1. All the large customers are building their own
  2. AMD CPUs is matched or better and less expensive
  3. GPUs are more important anyway and Intel doesn’t even have good GPUs for AI thanks to the wasteful Raja
  4. Intel CPUs use inferior Intel process or use TSMC process (same as everyone else)
  5. Intel CPU margins will need to drop in half soon

Management realizes this.

That's why Pat publicly said he would love to fab AMD's processors for Lisa Su.
They're betting it all on IFS since the internal products can't fill the fabs.

All good questions to bring up in the next B-M, or whatever they're calling it these days.

Call 'em out.

I just watched Gamers Nexus's review of the MSI Claw, and it's so embarrassing. After all these years, the Windows Graphics Driver team still can't fix the shader compilation problems. More "contra-revenue" genius playbook at work, trying to get a garbage device into the handheld gaming market, and getting stomped on and ridiculed. Haven't we learned that lesson with Android Tablets?
