Yes, layoffs are coming. My dept was told on Fri, 4/19 that our work is being transferred to the offshore team in India 😫

That's enough to be gossip but not definitive information. Many people were let go by many companies in many countries yesterday. That happens every day, everywhere. From what offices have there been layoffs, in what business units or departments, and have there been specific announcements about office or business unit layoffs. That would be definitive information. Otherwise you are spreading clown talk.
What do you want me to do, give you exact numbers? People’s names? All I can say is that there were folk laid off on all 3 shores this week.

You tell me that Allstate paying much lower than the industry and has shipped many jobs oversees has lowered costs?
I got laid off Oct 11 after 12 years. Totally blindsided. They eliminated my entire area, everyone. The sh---y part was collectively we gave over 150 years to Allstate. Didn’t even get a best wishes from Jeff Wright or Mia Bo-m Ibes. NOTHING. That was a kick to the stomach. I so hope karma raises her hand and slaps both of them. But in the end I’m much better off. Got a new job 6 weeks later that paid 50k more and a bigger bonus. People at Allstate don’t realize how underpaid they are. Now I have incredible benefits (cheap too) and unlimited PTO.
They have served a purpose. Thank you. Now on to less expensive shores. Allstate loves loves loves that cheap cheap labor. They will run after it wherever it is. It was fun while it lasted for Ireland. Allstate is not a long term employer no matter where you live. The lifers here in the USA all have targets on their backs. They know it and they are all waiting for their severance or retirement dates to come up. Good luck to our Irish friends.
