I got laid off in 2018. Best damn thing that ever happened to me. I will never work in the defense industry again. L3 was a horrible experience.

Defense industry is just as bad as consumer electronics is just as bad as finance is just as bad as (fill in the blank). I like to read the headlines here, much better than glassdoor because if gives you a real insight to the horrible working conditions in just about every company. What I have learned over my storied career of about 40 years is there isn't ever a perfect job. I've had only 6 jobs (well 8...but job#5 was bought by job#6 and bought by job#7...3 jobs never moved my office!) and only once did I leave on my own for an opportunity that came my way. What I've learned is if you have good management at your level and just above, things aren't so bad even if the upper levels are horrible. So now I am ending my career at a defense contractor where the 2 levels of management above me appreciates my work, and tells me that by giving me a good pay increase each year and labels me as a high performer. I also get in my personal email an indeed feed showing the jobs in my area that I could apply for if I wanted to, or needed to. I've always done that. When the company shut down its office (last job) I was employed again before my last day. So you can complain, but you can also be proactive. Do the research on the companies that are looking. For me, right now, defense is treating me very well.
Looks like some corporate maggots and bootlicking worms don't like the exposure the hole is being subjected to!!
Why are you dwelling on a company that laid you off 6 years ago?
Don’t you have better things to do?
Why such hatred for the defense industry?
