Pallets upon pallets of mulch. No exaggeration, more than half our parking lot is taken up by these pallets. Customers rightfully complaining, where do I park? How do I get through the maze of mulch. All this chaos for something we lose money on.

Simple—it’s mulching season, and everyone is re-bedding their flower beds. It’s not uncommon for one customer to need multiple pallets to do this. Hence the high inventory levels.
Definitely have gotten more mulch than pervious years. Our parking lot has 1/3 of it taken up by mulch and the back of the building is barely enough room to get a rig through. Sitting at 7591 bags of brown mulch currently OH....

Mulch is black hole for shrink I worked at a store 42 pallets over a year stolen !
My former employer has their mulch the same as your Lowe's, except it's "only" 1/3 of the parking lot.
