Scarborough layoffs

I am curious what percentage of Scarborough will be retained or re-trained.

that is one mean rude statement to make. we use to support and nurture each other I worked in a no judgement zone. i miss that love and support. I hope you're happy with yourself and making someone cry

More like YOU wasted 19 years not learning new job skills. Put all of your eggs in one basket while being complacent, and took no initiative to improve yourself along the way.

Blame the company only so much. Be an adult and accept responsibility for your actions, or lack of.

Supremist justifying why they never brought others up just looked after themselves. F
!!off.

No Supremacy, just employees with higher skills sets. I think people call other employees supremist because they believe that there is a large gap in pay. Yes the Scarborough leaders that remain are all white but that was never the case at the call centers. So please stop with the urban speak.

I be remembering that ole whity with the name sounding like a car and face all scrunched up glaring at us that lady be racist as looking in that face. me and couzin always steer clear of that one she always looking down them rows on us like she the master of the field . call center was a breeding ground for the supremist .

I worked there for about a minute and left after a check or 2 to many bad vibes up in that place . my couzin stayed up in there as long as they could just to get the kids feed . none on them folks took much interest n others that be different

thats a shame that they feel suppressed. they were suppressed while working and now they are suppressed unemployed. as the weeks go by and they are still unemployed they will find their voice.

I’ve been staying in touch with my fellow Scarborough interviewers and have been surprised as to how many people are scared to speak up and complain because they are under the belief that Nielsen will take their severance. It’s not going to happen but I can understand why they feel this way and it’s sad that an extra layer of stress is upon them.

How’s everyone doing with the storm ? I moved away awhile back and have been doing small theatre work and comedy stand up and found a niche to live in. I got a text from a rep who said they communicate here so I wanted to say hello.

nice to see someone went and did something from their heart. most of those call center reps only did community services if they got paid for it and did a photo op and posted it on the chat boards so they could get praise.

sorry to learn of the rough weekend and loneliness you are encountering. I am going to the local retirement home and spending time pushing people in chairs and helping to serve meals. I am the happiest I have been in years and I don't have to run home to work. be creative and see where you might be needed I am sure they would love to have you helping.

who allows others to control them unless they felt powerless. if you go up against the system maybe you feel you will be put to the street. not everyone has a good fall back plan.

Why would you allow the TL to play with your incentives and not complain to the call center leader? Yes my severance pay was deposited correctly and I’m very thankful because it has been impossible to find a job with the pay and hours that I can work.

first severance check and stay on bonus in my account . thank you Scarborough , but i am still without work . and miss all my long term peeps. I do not miss that so called TL who played money games with our bonuses and couldn't get surveys to save her day , but yet got to tell others how to do their jobs. umph. I talked to the guy who took his shirt off in the center after he was terminated he says hi to everyone and hasn't relapsed

my thoughts , people are busy moving on with their lives and there's not much time before the holidays are on us ,so best to enjoy some down time before it gets hectic.
not sure about the substance thing it's probably the "Troll" popping its head up again.

most are heading into retirement or assisted living. its was an aged population of workers who spent their youthful years 20 plus at the same organization. it was the best group of friends and some I will call family you could be with.

Calling people dr-g addicts seems a bit harsh. I do like the idea of sharing positive stories of success after Nielsen.

many of the call center workers have a substance use disorder don't expect much communication from them . I know many of them are having trouble now with all the free time and severance money.

I was told from a few employees that this was a message board for employees to use to communicate work status, reunions and any other kudos or memories and people would respond. where are all the people?

I am glad that you stopped by on Sunday even if you're bored out of your mind. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. It's nice sharing with each other the years we worked together. for me it wasn't a pit stop , but a place I could grow friendships and earn money for my family

place was pit stop to get extra side hustle money and if you had mobility issues it was perfect to park your behind. some of the people got comfortable and went to the beach in the day and watched movies late at night and forgot what is was like to learn a trade and make a contribution to society

I’ve been staying away from this board but here I am again bored out of my mind on a Sunday night. I’ve been applying for jobs but so far no one wants to hire a person who spent their last twenty years at a call center. Guessing people still see call centers as boiler rooms with employees that have no marketable skills beyond dialing a home and scamming them out of their money. As I look back at some of the older posts I see a lot of anger, frustration, confusion, mean-spirited comments and finally some acceptance. Aside from the silly caturday posts there is one person who calls anyone with a different view a “Troll”. To the better-than- thou TL who was “promoted” because of who they “knew”, I will not miss working with you.
