I have heard from multiple sources that more layoffs are coming this month and with the sale, legacy Windstream employees will all be gone.
Does anyone know the percent of cuts in the past year? Is it around 40%+?

Umm I was windstream, got the letter about 900 people in this round, kinetic too, guess what another one is coming
I'm sure it helps when they have people writing down their jobs and processes for their replacements. Gonna be a problem. Though when there's no one left to support their legacy stuff. The training they do only provides best case scenarios. Not when it's undocumented or poorly documented circuit paths. Hope their outsourced teams can figure those out.
The last one was over 2200 people. So... might be on the pace for 40% by years end.
And the strikes were just in legacy or CLEC. There were plenty of kinetic side people let go as well. Many of them high producing and high value engineers.
This was about hitting a number saved. Not about kinetic loyalty.
Heard the next round of layoffs will affect Windstream legacy. The plan is to build up Kinetic. Keep their people.
It is heart-felt to see all these changes - PS
A merger with Uniti will not result in 100% of WS employees being let go. Some? Of course, but ALL? Zero chance.
