A round of layoffs in Professional Services on 8/1. They called it a ‘reorg’. Needed to cut costs in order to add more higher level executive jobs. Give it a few months when they are strapped for cash and those executive jobs will be cut too.
Update your resumes and start looking for a new job now.
Is the new Intel layoff affecting Altera too or its independent now?
Not mass layoff. Just enough to avoid triggering the WARN notice.
Mass layoffs occurred at Altera on April 18, 2024. The number of positions eliminated is not yet known, but anecdotally it is one of the most significant in the company's history.
Depends on the Q1 results...
