Thread regarding Optum layoffs

This is unbelievable

To all those navigating through this period of complete and utter chaos at Optum, you have my deepest sympathies. I left a while ago and I can't believe everything I've been reading about the company. I can't even imagine still being on the inside and having to go through it all personally. I wish all of you the best of luck and I hope that whatever comes next is much better (and hopefully someplace else).

Every dollar in revenue that has disappeared from hospitals, medical practices, and pharmacies in the aftermath of the outage corresponds to an extra dollar sitting in the coffers of the nation’s health insurers, so UnitedHealth, which pays out roughly $662 million in medical claims each day, is presumably sitting on a mountain of unexpected cash.”

Now the business is taking over IT teams to avoid Optum dictating their clinical operations. Makes sense!!
