Warn notice requirements vary by state. Number of people affected etc.

Wouldn’t they have to issue a warn notice regardless of how many people are let go due to plant closure?

They have combined 1st and 2nd shifts at St. Louis and people are leaving fast. They are slowly laying people off about 5-10 at a time so they don't have to alert the state with the WARN notice. A supplier was heard saying that they were informed in August they will close the plant. From what I hear they only have work until the end of May.

Always be ready for a layoff but never worry. Worrying does nothing but eat you up internally. Being prepared is a better way to invest your energy. Keep up your network on LinkedIn, keep your resume or C.V. up to date, and keep learning new things every week.

Honeywell is trying to do what GE did in the 90's. Buy companies, strip it of all value, sell off what you don't want, get rid of the people and sell the property. Only works for so long.....

I thought for sure it’d be more layoffs in RF coming. Obviously, the profile alignment isn’t as bad as what everybody thought it was gonna be.

Agree with below, with have been tipped off that there is going to be a LOT of pruning this year.

It'll probably be a month or two before the next round of cuts. But if we don't start getting more orders in (I'm in Intelligrated) then they will keep RIF'ing. Thats just what Honeywell does.
