Do things just so that you can technically say you did your part, but nothing else. No overtime, no weekends, no extra effort whatsoever. I don't see why any of us would do anything outside of exactly what we are paid for considering how little respect we get from the company. You want to lay off your best employees? Fine. Then most of us will make sure to do mediocre work. Why bother if working hard will not provide us with even the minimum protection (that of not being laid off)?

Morale is so low company wide I don’t think you need to say “don’t go above and beyond” the vast majority are so burnt out and desperately looking for a way out that most work isn’t getting done, let alone above and beyond type work.
